Rental Trucks and Weigh Stations - Dumb Question Alert

This is kind of embarassing, but I'm short on time and looking for some quick answers. In three days we will be driving a 22' rental truck pulling our car from Alabama to Arizona. I've been told that I will have to stop at weigh stations along the way, which is something I've never had to do in previous moves. I can't seem to find anything on-line which explains exactly what will happen, where I go, and what to do. Do I have to stop at every open weigh station? What can I expect since I obviously have no transponder? Sorry for posting such a stupid question - but I can't seem to find answers anywhere else. Thanks in advance.... |

the only dumb questions are the ones not ask as far as I know you dont have to stop but you might want to contact your local authorities and ask them they should be able to point you in the right direction |

Nope.. you can skip the weight station.. I know its a few months late. The weight stations are for commercial trucking. If you were in a rental truck for commercial use, you would have to weigh in. |
