I HAVE A 1999 DODGE 1 TON TRUCK AND A 40 FT GOOSENECK TRAILER THAT I WANT TO PUT TO WORKIN THE HOTSHOT FIELD. I DO NOT HAVE DOT OR AUTHORITY BUT DO HAVE CARGO INSURANCE. IS THERE ANYONE WHO WILL LET ME RUN UNDER THEIR AUTHORITY OR ANY SUGGESTIONS TO ANY COMPANIES I CAN CALL TO CONTRACT TO? Suggest search out usdot they will issue you a dot # , then your state will go from there. No real cost. Also if not done first at least register as a dba business with your county office from there get your EIN#, tax ID # if you have local sales tax even if not working for the public. Make sure your insurance covers what you intend to carry. Progressive commercial didn't cover metal pipes was my first thought on reading your comment. I carried cars/lt trucks. Good luck! If you don't have the above most companies wouldn't hire cause anyone can hook a trailer to a pick up. A business must be put together as a business. You can try uship.com but the pay per mile on bids is below $1/mile very hard to compete but, may fill a deadhead slot for ya.
