Prime has a large base of lease purchase which can be difficult for a new driver, learning the job driving someone elses truck is tough enough, but having to budget everything that comes with owning a truck adds to the stress,Prime has company drivers but the will encourage you into their lease purchase program, and they are a refrigerated outfit, which means many 3am deliveries at grocery houses with 6-7 hr unload times. Star transport does not pay trainees/new drivers enough to earn a decent living,Maverick is fltbed which is also a difficult job for a new driver to undertake,tarping/untarpin,chaining and restraining load, plus DOT targets flatbedders for random roadside inspections, which can make a new drivers experience less than fun,I have been with Millis Transfer for 3 yrs, attended their school, and have no complaints, good luck!
