a dac record is like your school file.It tells companyies how many wrecks you have had,if you are a good worker etc..Basically it is a place to let companies try to run down a driver. It is hard for a driver to get the reports even when the government says they have to tell you what is on the file...A company can put anything on there they want and the driver cant do very much about it..For example I was rear ended by a driver in a pickup truck.I was not at fault not tickets nothing..The way it reads is non dot recordable accident.Ok I have been told by several campanies that it sound like to them It was my fault..So after several hours on the phone with dac  services It reads non dot accident driver was not at fault I was rear ended..Now the company has 30 day to repond to that,If they dont it will be cleared off my record..It is a slow long drawn out process..I wish there was a dac service aginst the trucking companies that drivers could turn them in for non payment, breaking the law, etc.

I have made several attempt to get a copy of my Dac report and every time you call they put you on hold and know one answer or you get a standard message on how to get a copy.

I mail a certified letter for a free copy of the report and that has been over three weeks now and no report.

What other means can I take to get my information?

We have heard the same thing from several drivers. We do not provide a free copy but we do assist drivers in obtaining their reports for a nominal fee. Call us 800-494-7517. www.DACfix.com

A DAC report is a report on a CDL driver. The information is obtained in various ways.

Carrier pay for a subscription to DAC in order to pull reports and in addition, report information to DAC. Since it is privatized, the information is not monitored for accuracy. Many times the information reported is inaccurate or untrue. It is a good idea to pull a copy of your DAC once a year to check for accuracy and if there is some information that is not true or that is inaccurate give us a call. Our company assists drivers in cleaning up their DAC reports. 800-494-7517 www.DACfix.com
