How do you feel about the upcoming proposal for legislation of lowering the nationwide standard to 0.08 blood-alcohol content for drunken driving?

Get the drunks off the road-ways. Drink at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's start pulling the CDL's of these violator's I know that some states are not doing the job of clamping down on CDL problem children. See the article in the August O/O Mag !!! Get judges to come down hard on all CDL's not just the the big rigs. Go into rest-stops and  random checks at weight station is another good place and that way you'll get the buses as well.

Thanks,
A bus driver who's moving up to a rig!!

I agree that the standard should be lowered to 0.08 nation wide. As a trucker I am allowed only 0.04, why not the rest of the drivers?

I BELIEVE THE LEGAL LIMIT SHOULD BE MUCH LOWER I AM A TRUCK DRIVER AND HAVE SEEN MANY ACCIDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN ALCOHOL RELATED AND HAVE PERSONALLY LOST RELATIVES TO SUCH ACCIDENTS

I am a trucker and I don't drink and drive. But I do feel that the drunk drivers are out there and they need to be taken off the road. so why not have they bus drivers got thru the chicken house just like we have to. And let them submit to a drug screen to see if they are using drugs or anything else that is illegal. The rules are for every one not just the truck driver. if you lower the standard then do it across the board and lets make the fine heavier. and if they kill some one while intoxicated then they should be faced with a murder charge instead of manslaughter charge.  but that is the way I feel.
