work in the USA
Posted: Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:28:38 AM

Hi there,

I am interested in going to the States to take on a truck driving position. Mainly for the experience of driving in another country.  I am presently employed by a trucking firm here in New Zealand. I have my class 4 licence, which means I can drive most trucks without a trailer, but am looking to get the truck and trailer soon. What would I need to do to get into the States to drive. I am at present 40 yrs old. Can someone give me some pointers.

Cheers

Just stumbled across this sight.

There is a company in Australia that get legally get you to the USA to drive an 18 wheeler,They get you there, but don't give a dam about you and are not very communitive and let you down.

There is a company called New rising Fenix out of Missori,They are ok,but are only team drivers,This would be ok for a while if you like that sort of thing,This is ok if you get in with a good guy,But hell if he is an Asshole.

This company comes to NZ around March-April every year to Auckland,You have to go up for an interview,But I contacted them and because I have driven 7-800000miles in the USA they were willing for me to just turn up,But I don't want to drive anymore and certainly not as a team

Would be Ok just to get you into the USA to drive.

There are still a few companys that will take you Ilegally,But not so worth it any more.

The Recruiters in Aus have a few company they can get you onto,so if you wanted to get along with them like we tried to until they shat on us and many others ,then that also will get you into the USA
