I am trying to find out from anyone that has or does work for either one of these companies & do they like it if not why?  My husband is almost finished with his CDL training (should be taking his final test either this weekend or next) & we have had pre-hire letters/phone calls etc. from both of these companies, plus several others. 

I'm just trying to get the real truth not what these recruiters tell you about a company, if anyone could help us with this information thanks!!   or you can email me direct at echadwell@gmail.com  if you would rather than post on this message board but please make sure to put "Trucking Co information" in the subject as I don't open just any email sent!!  or just reply to this post as I will be checking back on this site every so often for replies.  

We are getting to the point to start choosing a company & with 10-12 different pre-hire letters it's hard to decide which one might be the best company to work for, and yes my husband wants to do OTR (just no NYC or hazmat) he hasn't made anything less than an 87 on any of his testing done in school or getting his permit with general knowledge tests, & has a perfect MVR/Criminal background & stable work history (only 5 jobs in his entire life and he just turned 48 yrs old)  we have no children so on the road is no problem just trying to find the best company to work for with the best benefits. 

Thanks for any information that could be provided on either one of these companies or any other one that you have had experience with good or bad!!  Also am looking for information about something called a DAC record can anyone help with what this is & how is it maintained & is it legit?   Thanks. We have also received offers from Swift, US Express, CT Transportation, Roehl, Covenant, TMC Transportaion. Trans Am Trucking if anyone knows anything about any of these companies also!!  Thanks again for any input we can get to help make a choice.

Good day, I can tell you that what you see here are the companies thay will " stick it " to you as per say. None of these are any good but they do have one thing in common, they use drivers then push you back out the door with a boot! Good luck finding a company to work for they are all liers.

How can you say they are ALL LIARS!!! have you worked for every trucking company there is???  Sounds to me like you have a bad attitude about the trucking industry as a whole, they all can't be bad and if you can't give a responsible reply please don't thanks!!

I am wondering if you found out anything about Werner Enterprises & Stevens Transportation because I'm starting school  2-11-08

and have been told that I'll be getting a job with them. I've been told that they are one of the best companys to work for. I hope so

because I'm shelling out  $6500 for school.

I just completed my cdl traing a werner rep came to recruite, top notch co. and equip if you ask me.they really try to look out for drivers.

I think all the trucking companies lie about everything,but at least Werner has newer equipment for drivers.

Hello this is albert essary and in answer to your question..i am with werner enterprises as a driver and have been there going on 13 years now...so i think some of the things you might want to know is...we have terminals all over..the closest one to you is lithia springs ga. we get good equipment..paperless logs which is the best i think..just less to worry about...and the people are the best in my opinion...now dont get me wrong there are plenty of off the wall dispatchers here as well as all the other companies..but there bad people everywhere...they have took good care of me for this long and i would recommend them highly...good luck and hopefully i can say as a driver...WELCOME ABOARD.......Albert Essary....(sparky)
