trying to get started

I'm trying to get started but i'm affraid that everybody is telling me is not true,example:1 ton dually with a 40' gooseneck can bring home anywhere between 2000 to 3000 a week, after diesel expense, running local. is this true, please anyone advise

yes i would say yes its true,i haul boats,campers,livestock trailers with my dually,running from here in ohio down the I-75 corridor as far south as florida,and i make around 4700 to 5000 a week and i bring home around 3500-3700 clear after my fuel,and this is all i haul,i dont even own a trailer.let me say this i'm making more a driving my own dually,then i did driving tractor/trailer and i did that last 28yrs,if you need anything else please feel free to ask me

DONT BELIVE THAT CRAP,WITH A 40FT FLAT BED,THERE IS A BROKER GARY AT M&H LOGISTICS,GUYS A GENIOUS AT LOADING 40 FT FLATBEDS GO TO HIS WEB SITE,NOT ONE OF HIS  TRUCKS RUN BELOW 3.00 PER MILE TO AS HIGH AS 7.00.I HAUL MY OWN CAMPERS AND BOATS AND DONT AVERAGE LESS THAN.3.00 PER MILE.

I live in katy, tx. Leased on doing hotshot with a 40 ft. gooseneck 1 ton truck. 2000 to 3000 is pretty high doing local . After fuel and deductions  I bring home anywhere from 700.00 to 1800.00 running local , home every night

I am out of Montgomery Texas and trying to find to get some work for my 30' Gooseneck flat bed trailer. Any sugestions on who I can contact aroun Houston to get some loads?
