Tarp safety
Posted: Fri Sep 1, 2006 1:21:17 PM

Hello every one, I have a friend who has been injured while tarping his load of drywall. Aperently he was using a 18oz vinyl tarp that weighed about 90 lbs and tripped while he was spreading the tarp out. He is ok but not too happy about hte whole experiance. So my question is this. Is there any kind of  safety training available for the donning and doffing procedures of heavy truck tarps?. Are accidents common while tarping a load?. Are there any health and safety acts coveing this?. Hopefully there is some kind of help available in the proper safe handeling af heavy duty tarps, as I know many truckers use. If anyone has any helpful information please let me know. Thank you.
