Jeff,
You will need a valid CDL, 2 years experience,be 24 years or older, minimum of a tractor, and or trailer.(some companies lease trailers or provide them) a company to lease on to,(they will provide your permits, major insurance needs and sometimes your plate)but you will need bobtail and deadhead insurance. My suggestion is to really research different carriers and find the carrier that best fits the type of operation you want to do that pays the most. A note of caution, Not all carriers are the same.
