Starting engine in cold weather
Posted: Wed Oct 25, 2006 2:54:53 PM

Since many communities are setting anti-idling laws for trucks I am wondering how long an engine can be shut off, say in 32 F degree weather before the engine will not start again. I have no problem sleeping in a cold truck, if fact I rather enjoy it, but I would hate to find my truck won't start because of the cold.

buy a hotbox it mounts on the frame and you can leave your truck for a week come back flip the switch and let the hot box run for about 1 hr. it will start no problem . if you stay in the truck you need to find a place where you can leave it idle
