Speedometer Problems

I have a 2002 Freightliner bus with a Cat 3126B engine. My speedometer needle creeps up to about 25 - 28 at a top speed of 55 -60 mph. I connect a prolink which indicates correct speed. I assume the speed sensor is ok because of the prolink reading. I take a chance and replace the speedometer head. Still the same. The speedometer is driven by the ECM. Do I have an ECM problems? Do I need a new computer? So far my wiring seems to be ok. |
