I was solicited to attend MTA Driving School back in 1989 to learn to drive OTR. I did not even have a license at the time. Isn't a valid driver's license a requirement??

When ones name gets put on a Mailing list for Trucking outfits and companies related to Trucking, one will then be approached by Trucking companies REGARDLESS of having a valid license or not. These places do not do a check on people (how or why would they??) as the mailings are merely for your information.
I've been "offered" employment by JB Hunt several times a year for a couple of years mainly by phone until I told them I've had several recent DUI convictions.
They stopped "offering" me anything.
I still get "offers" from DART and PTL which I promptly toss.
