You could be considered for qualification again with a new transportation company if you can prove that you have completed a Substance Abuse Program. The SAP program guidelines are very specific as to who can conduct them and how they are administered and subsequently completed by the individual. I have seen many drivers such as yourself go on to successfully rebuild their career after completion of the required program.
You must disclose to each new potential employer that you tested positive; In most cases, the new employer is able to find out all of the companies that you've worked for, even if you didn't put them all down on your application, and therefore, all companies in the past three years will be contacted to obtain your drug/alcohol testings results as well as accident history.
Good luck to you and I wish you the best in rebuilding your career.
