Question from a Class B Driver
Posted: Sat Oct 28, 2006 7:43:26 PM

Hello, i Have been driving class b for 9 years, but never got my class A,  its something i have always wanted to do was get my a and start over the road drving to see what its like.  i have just completed all the testing for my A but still need to take the road test.

My question is, do you think companys  (even National companys (not the route i want but will if i have too) will Treat me as completely inexperenced or will they just require me to do the in truck training with another driver?

just something i was thinking about, cause it really wouldnt do me any good to leave the job i have now to go to training school and loose what money i make now to pay someone else for something i can pass on my own,

Jason,
Most trucking companies really are at the mercy of the insurance companies. They dictate alot of companies policies. I can not advise you. SOme companies may consider you experienced, while others may not. You really need to contact a few companies to find out or submit your application online to several site(like our Career Center) and see what happens.
