A agent is usually a agent for a brokerage. Sometimes they have auuthority of there own and sometimes they don't. For instance I know of a few brokers that are also agents for large carriers and other licensed brokers. A Owner Operator is a truck driver that owns his own truck. A Owner Operator can be leased to a Carrier or have his own authority. Having his own authority would make him a Independent Owner Operator. When your leased to a Carrier you usually have to give them a large chunk of your income. As a Independent Owner Operator you receive 100% of your income. |

Do you know anything about a company out of GA, that advertise that they can get you an authority for $369 and they do everything? Here is their website. http://blueridgetmllc.com/Home_Page.html |
