part time hotshot

I have an '07 Dodge cummings dually, with 43' flatbed gooseneck trailer. I am interested in picking up some loads in the southeast part time, as I am currently in the military. I would like to know how to get started. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Will have my CDL by February 1, 2008.

YOu are going to need insurance and a DOT number and maybe a MC number!   I would try to get in with a company that has all of this and you can work under them if anyone is around you!

The only thing you can try is uship.com and pick up a few loads but most people are going to want to see insurance which isnt cheap!
