Tricia,
Ask drivers and owner operators of course. Alot of drivers want to become owner operators for the freedom. The irony is being an owner operator is more demanding than being a driver and the pay unless the driver is exceptional is usually the same. Also many drivers can drive but, are not the business men needed to operate as an owner operator. Please note I said many, not all!!With drivers being in such critical demand today, I really see no need to become an owner operator. These are just my opinions!

My wife and i are considering the owner opperator option simply because we want to be able to take our children with us more. we both are very good in the business aspect but are very curious about the hidden expenses we would experience as OO that we wouldn't be aware of as drivers.
