I recently Graduated from a Truck Driving School that offered job placement the only thing was it was with a big Company and they wanted a one year contract most of the pay was way below standard. I understand I'M new and may not get the high pay seasoned drivers get . But I can't even find a job hauling grapes everyone wants atleast 6 mos. exp. Anyone have any helpfull hints I could use them. |

It sux but you will have to accept the low pay for the initial Year period or you'll have to foot the bill for the training. The Companies that give Driver Training are the ones that as well have the initial Year period factored in for the repayment of the cost of training. The low pay will rise after this Year period and this is merely a way of "paying ones' DUES" as is heard all over the trucking realm. The ads for "6 months experience" really want a minimum of 1 YEAR. 6 Months really says "You're too green to be allowed full access therefore you'll as well get less than full pay until you've MATURED, like other investments.
That's the way it is so either stay with what you are currently doing or check some other avenues in your current or related fields.
I'm one of those people that sometimes wishes He had NEVER gotten into this "trade" because it is such a bear to change without equivalent pay.
I hope the BEst of WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL adventures!!
