I need some info and/or advice for any kind of hot shot freight, trucks trailers, etc.   My husband is currently a truckdriver(18wheeler) and is interested in hauling on his own with his '04 ram 3500. We need as much info as possible to decide if we want to do this or not. please help!

Dixierose, a 3500 will work fine for this type of work. In my opinion a 40' PJ lowboy works very well with this truck. It's lite weight, will get you the best fuel mileage and because it's low you can load cars on when there's not enough of freight available. Independent is always the best way to go. Leasing can work also with the right company. You can find a lot of the answers to your questions at
