1997 Freightliner FLD120 425 CAT

The fan is on when the engine starts an is on all the time. Im thenking that it is a clutch fan,it has a air switch going to it.On this truck when the jake brake comes on the fan comes on also,that is how it is sapose to work.but in this case as i said the fan is on all the time.I have tryed to move the fan when the engine is off just with the key on,I have taped on the base of it to try to get it to free up,please help if you can,thanks Rick,ohio ....this truck is not working at this time,,,,,

It sounds like you need to replace the clutch fan. Once they go there really is no repairing or rebuilding.
