Lost Wages Down Time
Posted: Mon Dec 15, 2008 10:48:00 AM

I always thought that a Owner Operator would get lost wages if involved in a accident, but i'm finding out now that i was wrong. A four wheeler spun out in front of me, on an icy overpass causing a big wreck. In Michigan. My truck was down for three weeks, now i'm finding out that no money will be payed out for my lost wages while the truck was being fixed. The four wheeler was totally at fault.

May have to go bankrupt because of this, just before X-mas, and missed fifteen days of work, dedicated run...

Best to check with your insurance agent. It may be in your policy for lost wages? Good luck! Company driving for will probably not pay cause you are a contractor? Insurance policies may cover some of your lost wages. Worth looking into anyways.
