Life Sucks
Posted: Sun Jun 1, 2008 3:57:43 AM

12/10/2005 I recieved a OWI in Iowa

12/15/2007 I find A company that will hire me after only 18 months since my OWI (Priority Transportation)

So I get my permit again because I had to retest to get my CDL back in January

It took another 2 months just to get back in trucking school because no one would allow me to use their truck just to take the driven test.

04/25/08 I graduate not only from trucking school but also from heavy equipment operator school and am now nationally certifiied to operate heavy equipment

now this is where the real jokes start

the job hunt I have literally filled out around 900 to 1000 job applications since August of 2007 in many different fields( trucking, heavy equipment, cooking, temp agencies, security, etc. and am still unemployed

So about a week I after returning home from school i say well enough is enough and I call Priority up and say " hey I got it back, lets get me to work"  just to find out they changed the hiring policy while I was at school.

I put my little story on here not for a pity party or to read any horrible truck driver humor I hope  that if just a few short months ago Priority Transport would have hired me there at least has to be one other company out there that will hire me as well if you know of one please get in contact with me thirlbred33@yahoo.com thank you all for reading
