KW electrical problems

I have a 1987 Kenworth T-800. The first sign of trouble was when I lost all lights, headlamps, instrument panel, etc. I replaced the relay for the headlamps and everything was ok. When I started out the next day, I blew the small 30amp fuse for the headlamps. After finding no problems, I replaced it and now have all lights except the tail lights. When I put the turn ightsignals on (either way), both rear lamps flash although they are not as bright as they should be. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong? |

I'd check all the connections and plugs outside and going into the cab, sounds like there could be a corrosion problem causing a voltage drop to the lites. |

I have a 94 K.W. and the angle iron crossmember that bolted between the framerails at the rear that held the taillight assembly had corroded where it bolted down and caused a faulty ground. I had similar problems you described. Hope this helps... |
