GOOD LUCK Buying or Leasing a truck from/through Landstar what with all their percentage deductions just on their listed loads.
One chap, credit not very good, is paying $500.00 to $700.00 A WEEK, regardless of how many miles run, for a crap truck with over 600,000 miles, so watch out.
Buying is better than leasing but to each their own.
You're still either way responsible for FUEL, TAGS, INSURANCE, MAINTENANCE, ETC., and the WEEKLY PAYMENTS.
Owner Operators with their OWN AUTHORITY can choose Loads, lease drivers most likely not, but hey, you're paying to travel.
Company Driver IS STILL FAR SUPERIOR to Owner Operator what with just the costs of FUEL, oh, sorry, you've outgrown that segment of Trucking.....end of line |
