Ignition problem
Posted: Mon Jun 1, 2009 11:38:22 AM

I have a 1995 GMC Topkick truck. When I turn the ignition switch on the radio and clock led's turn off as usual but the starter does not engage. No clicking. If I jumper the solenoid I can get the truck to start. I replaced the starter relay but no change.

Help!

I would check for a 12 volt signal coming from the key switch to the stater relay. You should have a ground on the other post of the relay.
