I drive for a great company!

I drove for PAM Transport for two years before deciding to move to a different company. PAM was all right, but they did a lot of runs to the north east, and I didnt like that. I prefer to go west, but PAM would rarely send me there, and there was the issue of pay. Making 0.31 cents per mile was ok, but when you factor in the lack of hometime (They kept me out for 4 weeks and then didnt want to send me home either.) Anyway, I did a lot of research, asking other drivers about their companies, and calling those companies for further info. I finally came to realize that most companies are pretty much the same no matter where you go. I decided to come to Gordon trucking mainly because they would send me to the west coast any time I wanted to go, and I got a 6 cent per mile raise. I asked many drivers about the company, and heard very little if anything bad about them from these drivers, which is very unusual. Well, now I know why I heard nothing bad fromthe drivers. It is because they keep their drivers happy. Working for PAM I had to wait soometimes for hours before being given a load. with my company, I almost always know where I'm going next even before I complete the run I'm on. With PAM I was averaging about 2000 miles a week, with the company I'm at now, I average 3000, and I can go home every week if I like.

Drivers, if your looking for a company to retire from, I urge you to check out Gordon Trucking INC. They are based in Pacific, WA, but have terminals in CA, OR, and now in Green Bay, WI. If your not happy with your company, I can tell you that Gordon trucking is a great place to drive for. Talk with the drivers in the Gordon Blue Freightliner Columbia.   Newer equipment with tripack generators. Never without a load. after talking with the drivers call 1-800-426-6010 and choose recruiters. If you decide to apply, please give them my driver code: STARO.

One word of caution, If you dont drive safely, and want to speed over 63 mph, DONT BOTHER! This company is based around high integrity of their drivers. We drive slow, and safe, and are well awarded for that. thanks for listening.

What are the running lanes?  Do you run any NE runs?  I'm going back over the road as soon as this one speeding ticket comes off my MVR. But been off the road since April 2005 Wonder if I have to go with a trainer? for weeks at time?
