Help - Oil In Fuel In R.V.
Posted: Tue Oct 4, 2005 12:20:24 AM

I've heard of fuel in the engine oil but this one has me stumped. How does oil get into the fuel (gasoline)? What can be done to fix it?

Rudy, The only way you could get oil in your fuel was by some one putting it in there(the tank) Depending on how much is in there you may be able to just fill your tank enough to dilute it and run the mix out. If there is alot of oil, your gonna have to pull the fuel tank and drain it.

You have a CAT C7 or 3126, right? The fuel injectors are hydraulically actuated (like a powerstroke diesel). The fuel injector o-rings are the most common cause of oil in the fuel.
