Hazmat ??'s
Posted: Mon Sep 24, 2007 4:57:01 PM

We have been in business 25 years and have never hauled Hazmat, does anyone have any idea where I start?  I'm not sure if it's with my base state, or USDOT, or just the states of travel.  Any help would be appreciated.

HAZMAT ? my advice , DONT , it dosent pay a damn bit more and in some cases less. i hauled it for years till i figured out i was totaly responsible if anything happened, yep the driver is responsible, he and he alone has to pay , will your company stand behind you , not a chance . i had the endorsement removed from my cdl. same thing if you haul doubels or tripples . do you get two or three time the pay , the company does but you the driver get payed for one trailer and if somthing happens your responsibel for all  three. your choice but it dosent make sense to me .-------j.r. horton
