Hello this is my first time here, I have been doing a little digging around on the net and I can not find any information regarding my problem.

I have a 2004 freightliner business class FL70 truck with the break light on.

On start up I can see a code 136 on the screen, and to tell you the truth I don’t know if this is a break code or not.

I know you can get a scanner to run diagnostics on these machines. I have an OTC machine for your typical autos but no software for these types of trucks.

So my question is, code 136 is that the break code? And if so does it point to a sensor problem on a wheel for the antilock system?

Or is pointing to a PCM problem?

I am going to try and get my boss to pick up a scanner and some manuals on this truck in the near future, until then is there anyone here that can point  me in a direction.

Not sure what the code is either. In the past I've called freightliner and asked them what the codes are. They always told me and one guy was even nice enough to fax me a list of the codes for the truck I was having trouble with. If for some reason you get someone to busy to tell you call another dealer or call them back after a shift change.

Is it just one brake lite stuck on or is both stuck on and one burnt out? Brake light switch? if so there usually under the floor board against the fire wal on the inside of cab on the big trucks. You'll see a manifold (long block) with several airlines going to it and switchs sticking out of it with wires connected to them. Those will be the switchs

that is a ABS sensor code.  Locate the brain, should be on the passanger side behind the seat, or around the fifth wheel.  See if you can see any blinking lights.  Certain models have lights some dont.  Well try to loacte what location that is but need the model number or you could even go to bendix wabco website.
