 freightliner electrical problem

freightliner electrical problem

when ever you press the horn you hear a clicking noise and the radio flashes and powers off and the doors lock and unlock multiple times. same with the windows they dont go down or up all the way then the radio powers off. ive cleaned the grounds and replaced the relays not to sure what else the problem can be ?

Sounds like you have a major ground problem. The horn circuit is a simple short to ground when you push the button. Seems this wire is shorted to some other wires in the harness. Do you have more information like Type of truck VIN.. by the description of your problem I can only guess that it is a Century Class since you mention power locks and windows.

i have had this problem before. i found a short in wiring harness down the side of the sterring colum . the wire rub through for driver using the steering wheel to pull up in to the truck. i hope this helps you find the problem
