forming a corporation

did any of you form a corporation to protect yourself or take advantage of the tax benefits? I recently did and encourgage all my trucker brothers and sisters to do it. my accountant strongly recomended it to me. fyi I used www.myllc.com when you call tell then your a trucker and they give you a discount!! |

Forming a corporation definately limits you liability in alot of circumstances. Depending on what state you are in you might find that it is much cheaper to go to that states website and do it your self. For instance one of the online sites wanted over $600 to form a corporation for one of the carriers I often use. By going to the State of FL's website he did it himself and only paid $78. Quite a difference |
