failed drug test

iot was after oral surgury i ran of my script for vicadon and took my wifes tylenol w/ codiene. i understand NOW that i took an illegal drug went to a SAP for counseling . he recommened an education program, which i completed. what are my odds of getting rehired? up to this point my driver career was spotless.  no accidents no tickets. please help me!

I do feel bad for having to say this. To my knowledge there is nothing you can do to fix a "Failed Drug Test" on your record. It takes 5 years for it to drop off your record. Have you contacted your local DMV? If not I would call them and ask if there is anyway to get that off your record. I do know that some companies will take your story into consideration. You may be hired and put on a strict probation period. However, the problem is going to be just getting them to talk to you. Be honest about it let them know up front so you don't waste your time or theirs. I will research it to the best of my abilities and get back to this forum if I find out anything different.
