DOT physical for new position

DOT physical for new position

Jake,
I now have my CDL Class A license with all endorsements (recent Driver School grad), and I'm ready to search for a job.
My question is: I have a Inguinal Hernia that I had for many years, will this cause me to fail my DOT Physical?
The Driving school Doc. stated on my Medical Examination Report that " hernia is direct- a spermatic- does not effect ability to operate motor vechicle"

You are correct in the assumption that your hernia should not effect you passing your physical exam, unless you get a stickler of a doctor. My suggestion is to recieve your physical from your local physcian.
