Can someone tell me how long information is kept on a DAC Report? Is info in report considered open and free? |

Depending on state law where you reside. Criminal Information - 7 Years to Lifetime Tickets 7 Years to Lifetime Employment Information - LIFETIME! They are not regulated on the information comapnies say about you. The do have to abide by the FCRA on some things. Some states only allow them to report for 7 years on criminal history. Most are lifetime. Once on DAC , they break your BACK. So just be careful how you work, cause most big companied pull DAC reports. |

The DAC report consists of 5 sections:
Employment History-stays on for 7 years Drug/Alcohol-stays on for 3 years Criminal Background-stays on for a lifetime Driving Record-Varies from state to state and county to county Inquiries-Stay on for 24 months.

I had some very bonehead preventables while w/Central Refrigerated Services-- Nothing anyone else was involved in- I damaged the bumper, a trailor door (just the insulation about 10 inches)- called and told on myself no one else was involved will these be reported and some little stuff like that should be considered part of learning 10,000 miles a month and that's the kind of mistakes how bad is it???I damaged the batwing on my tractor w.the reefer unit.. Is this going to ruin my driving career?? REALLY?? I have someone tht is going to put me in his truck and i'm leasing with another company.. Is this gonna bite me in the butt..?? Please help me to understand how all of this works, new to driving and want to get good at this job.. |
