Don't work for C.R. England! They are a bunch of thieves. I did the lease program. What a scam. They tell the drivers you can make money as a solo driver. That is a lie. They tell you that, to get you hooked, to become a team or become a trainer. I tried the trainer route. The student makes more than the trainer. C.R. England makes the trainer pay for half of students pay. The maintenance that C.R. England does in their shop is twice as much as the truck stops. Their maintenance department has a bunch of thieves working for them . I put my truck in the shop and had something stolen out of my truck. The driver managers only cares about themselves and how much money they can make. They don't care about the drivers. They don't care how many mile you need to make a profit. They won't get you the miles you need. Going back to the maintenance department. They will see how much is in your maintenance account, and what to get their hands on that money, so they will say something is broke, when it is not, and replace it, just to get their hands on your hard earned money. They have what they call a variable mileage fee. This is what is going to kill you. You are basically paying for C.R. England employees. I payed over $5000 in variable mileage fees. I will never get that money back. It's gone. I payed over $10,000 in lease payments. I payed over $13,000 in fuel. On top of all this, you pay for insurance, fuel taxes, permits, tolls. C.R. England doesn't even pay to scale the loads, the driver pays. If you go to their SLC, UT terminal, it is like a prison. They have pissed off so many people, they have to have armed guards on duty 24/7. What does that tell you about this company. Shameful. If you are thinking about going company driver. Be prepared to wait for loads, because you are on the bottom of the list for loads. Teams/trainers/o/o/lease drivers get loaded before company drivers. No money being a company driver. C.R. England is not a trucking company. They have become a brokerage company. I think, back in the day, .C.R England was a good trucking company to work for, but not anymore. I made about $32,000 with my truck on a six month lease. Out of that six months I only made $3000 in profit. At the end of the lease, they said I owe them $2500 for work they did on the truck. So in six months I made $500 profit. How is anybody going to live on and pay the bills on $500 in six months. Please! The company doesn't care about the driver at all! All the lease drivers I met were in the hole every week. Utah attorney general should investigate this shameful company. What a joke of a company! They should be shut down. They have hurt a lot of good people, who just what to make a honest living. C.R. England only cares about the bottom line. They don't care anything about the drivers. A word to the wise and from someone that's been through this mess. Don't work for this corrupt company! Keep the shiny side up! Take care!
