YOU WANT THE TRUTH???ANYTIME YOU USE A COMPANY SCHOOL TO GET A LISCENE YOU ARE WAY BEHIND SKILL WISE,AND YOU HAVE SIGNED UP FOR A FEDUAL SYSTEM OF LIFE,YOU HAVE ENTERED SURFDEM,WHERE YOU ARE A ENDUTRED SERVENT,YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE LESS THAN A SPECIAL KID MAKING FRIES AT BURGER KING.SAME WITH LEASING A TRUCK,YOU MIGHT AS WELL PLAY CONSTATLY THE SONG FROM TENNSEE ERNIE FORD,16 TONS,THE LINE,"I SOLD MY SOUL TO THE COMPANY STORE."IF YOU HAVE THE FIRE IN YOUR GUT TO DO THIS,GO TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE OR A DRIVING SCHOOL LIKE NATS,SAVE MONEY,AND BUY A 15,000DOLLAR TRUCK,WORK ON IT YOUR SELF AND GO FIND YOUR OWN FRIEGHT,OR LEASE ONTO A COMPANY.LIKE LANDSTAR,OR SCHNEIDER,THEY HAVE GOOD PROGRAMS WHERE YOU CAN PICK AND CHOSE YOUR LOADS,ALSO GO ONLINE,GET INVOLED WITH CDL OF IT AND KEVIN RUTHERFORD,AND LISTEN AND LEARN THIS IS A BUSINESS TO RUN,JOIN OOIDA,THEY COVER ALL TRUCKING COMPANY LEASES WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB.IM A FORMER SWIFT TRAINER AND RECURITER.

NONE OF THESE COMPANIES ARE BAD,BUT YOU ARE WORKING AS A TRAINEE FOR 350-375 A WEEK,FOR 70 HOUR,THE KID IN AFGANASTAN SEWING SOCCER BALLS IS MAKING MORE THAN YOU.YOU CANT LIVE IN LIFE FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY,BUT IT MAKES BUSINESS SENES TO THEM,YOUR A WARM ASS WITH A SOCICAL SECURITY CARD AND LISENE MOVIN THERE FREIGHT BASSICALY FOR FREE LABOR.THER BOTTOM LINE LOOKS GREAT,BECAUSE OF 130%TURNOVER.SAME WHEN YOU LEASE THAT TRUCK.THREY RUN YOU UNTIL LESAE IS ALMOST UP AND YOUR EXPERINCE PAY GOES UP,FREIGHT SLOWWS DOOOWWWN.THATS BUSINESS.YOU LEAVE THEY RE=LEASE THAT TRUCK,MORE MONEY.

Best option if possible in any contract of this type is to require a monthly minimum average miles as they pay per mile you're stating right off if you can't provide me a certain income/revenue level you're in breach of contract. If it's possible? If they won;t guarantee that then they are as stated making you a company driver if you don;t end up with the truck. You're also stating you're willing to work at least XX hard to accomplish what you set out to do. Again if they won;t put a commitment in writing, then they're full of it, if they are then there is commitment to complete the contract on both ends. Good luck, am a newbee to class A driving, not trucking in general, just medium duty 11 yrs to date but, just finalized school, NYS CDLA license, and look forward to hauling loads like you.

If company won't provide the work, minimum have the flexibility in your contract to add your own freight, brokers, online bids, public access, whatever as long as you have the ability to haul. If you're leasing it, it;s your equipment to utilize however it takes to get it paid for. If a company wants to leave you hanging you're committed to paying for it, so use it how you need to. You could always file a suite in return if you're committed to them and hey won;t provide what is needed to complete their workloads? Leave yourself an escape route, if the company doesn;t allow it, be pleasant and find a new company!

Applied there CR England as well. Lease option can be 3,4,5 years another possibility may be available is specify you must earn at least say $500 per week income and lease term to be extended from say 3 up to 5 years with that criteria to be met first/primary so as you can complete your lease/truck purchase and be guaranteed an income. That way everyone gets what they want and no one is left starving out in a truck somewhere? Discuss all options and treat any business proposal as such in a professional manner. Good luck to all new and old drivers alike. Post any other suggestions that would help rather than company bashing since they are all similar, good guidance is better than a grim outlook as we want to work to.

C.R. ENGLAND IS ALL ABOUT BROKEN PROMISES I LEASED A TRUCK FOR A YR AND BEFORE MY CONTRACT WAS UP THEY CHANGED THE CONTRACT AND MADE ME GIVE UP THE TRUCK BESIDES THE TRUCK WASNT UP TO D.O.T. REGULATIONS WHEN I GOT IT SUCH AS THE TIRES HAD TO BE REPLACED IN 2MONTHS AFTER I GOT IT THX TO THEM DOING A RACK AND PIN ON IT AND DIDNT LINE IT UP AND THEN THE BRAKE DRUMS WHERE TURNED 4X WHICH IS AGAINST D.O.T. REGULATIONS SO IF U THINK OF DRIVING DONT GO THERE THEY R CROOKS AND THE SCHOOLING IS A JOKE Y HAVE A NEW DRIVER PARALLEL PARK BETWEEN 2 OTHER RIGS AND HOPE THEY DONT DAMAGE ANY OF THEM IF THEY DO IT IS THE DRIVERS FAULT BESIDES DOING AN OFF SET BACKING WHICH I NEVER HAD TO USE SINCE I BEEN DRIVING BESIDES THE PRICE OF THE SCHOOL IS HIGHER THEN OTHERS PLS DO RESEARCH BEFORE GOING THERE |
