Broke Down on Interstate
Posted: Sat Feb 2, 2008 2:53:16 PM

Last night I broke down on the interstate about hour away from home, I called AAA for emergency service, they sent a local tow truck, they said they would pay to tow my truck (1 ton), but not the trailer (40 ft GN) with 10 K load, I had blown a fuel line or something that wasn't going to be quick fix, so I finally got a friend to come get the trailer and they towed the truck. My question, is that standard procedure with companies like AAA? and is there a alternative version for trucks and trailers?

Yes that is standard procedure, AAA won't cover commercial operations. Neither will AARP or Sam's. It helps to have a lot of freinds when your a Owner Operator.
