i have '09 cascadia that won't downshift pass 6th gear. every time i come to a stop,i have to pull over, put truck in neutral, cut truck off and wait 3 to 5 minutes for truck to reset itself but then it starts all over again when i have to stop again. is there a way to reset the transmission because an f comes up in the gear indicator.

The automatics are "supposed" to drop out of any gear when downshifting at 5th gear and then when You come to a stop, they are to lock in to the lowest possible gear that it is set to and that is either 1st or 2nd. Your obvioulsy having a computer problem. I was told that it doesnt do it as much if you DONT have your jake brake on, so try running with it on for a day or so and see if that makes any difference. If not then take it in to a shop and get the computer checked out and also update the software in it.
