Auto Transporting Company

Bear with me - I'm a newbie to this message board. In your opinion, how successful would a small-scale auto transporting (3-car wedge trailer) company be making short distance deliveries? I am interested in doing this as it will keep me close to my family, but I just don't know how profitable it could be.

Ryan,
To be honest, I doubt there is much need for that kind of service. If the move is short, most people will just drive it themselves. Plus, most auto transport deliver right to a person, not a hub. I am thinking the minimum for auto transport would be regional coverage. My suggestion is to contact a auto carrier near you or an auto auction and see if they think there would be a need for your service from them.
