Antique Fire Engine Needs to be transported
Posted: Sat Jul 25, 2009 12:10:17 PM

I am a fireman from New Jersey. I am buying a 1955 American La France 700 series fire engine that currently is located in Oshawa, On. Canada. I need to get it down to Moonachie, New Jersey. Map Quest states that it is about 495 miles. Since this truck is for personal pleasure only and will never be bringing in any revenue, I need to keep my cost to a minimum. My hope is to find someone bringing a load up to Onterio and returning empty or a driver originating from the On. Canada area, planning to drive to the N.J. area empty to pick up a load. I would cover your cost for this leg of a trip you are going to be making anyway. (diesel, food ect.) The fire engine is 25' 4" long, 8' at highest point and 8' at widest. Total  weight is approx 14,000 lbs.   If you are interested, please contact me at dabull213@yahoo.com Thanks, John
