I heard the more miles you put on a truck the better the engine gets?? Just basic repairs, tires have to be done? Is this all true?? Some trucks last until 1 million miles with no problem, others have major problems at 300, 200, 400?? |

awildone2006: Whether a vehicle is considered low mileage depends on the application the truck was used for. A local truck would possibly average 200 miles a day while an over the road truck may put on 500 or more miles a day. Concerning your question that an engine runs better the more miles it gets is not true. Engines are metal. Anytime metal and metal parts work together there is wear. Anytime an engine is running there is engine wearing. Some wear quickly while others may wear slowly but, there is still engine wear. |
