91 KW 60 series Detroit problem

I bought the truck in GA and stopped in MISS for fuel. When I went to start the truck it seemed like the batteries were dead. After attempting to jump start I discovered the power cable to the starter was loose. I got it started but it would idle and die when given throttle. Changed fuel filters and no luck, put 4 new batteries on, checked and repaired all elect. connections in batt box, new fuel pump by mechanic. Truck started and ran good took throttle and seemed OK then died and will not run excapt on starting fluid. Seems to be getting plenty of fuel. Any suggestions |
