3/4 CAR HAULING
Posted: Thu Oct 2, 2008 12:28:33 PM

Hello all, I was just wandering if anyone could give me some info on hauling automoblies with a 3/4 car hauler.  I was wadering if there was any money in that side of trucking. I have been driving truck for about twelve years and Im just about done with it. My neigbor hauls cars and its obvious that he makes out very well. But the stingy s.o.b wont help me out any. I have a new 1 ton dually and I am looking to run as hard as I can . Ive made out well driving tractor trailer I just want to do something for myself while im still young and have the ambition. If anyone is willing  to give me some advice or perhaps no a company that would lease me on It would be appreciated. Thakyou

Hi fattz. Yes there is good money to be made in car hauling, I have been in that since Feb of this year. After you get your authority and insurance put together call a company called remarketing solutions in TN and see if they will set you up with loads. They haul repo cars to Manheims auto auction all over the US and they pay good and pretty much on time. The only problem you may have is finding car haulers insurance unless you have hauled cars and it's not cheap, then again nothing is cheap anymore. If you have and questions or I can be of any help feel free to call me at 760-669-6709 Hank and I will try to help. The trailer you need is a TAKE 3 car carrier, as it is about the best one made, and you need at least a 9000 lb winch to do the job.Call me and I will fill you in with more information, Hank

Well first and foremost I would like thank you for responding back Hank. Its hard to get any info from anyone about anything these days. People think that if to many people get into something that they are into that its gonna take food from their plate. They obviously dont realize there is more than enough work to go around. But I want to thank you for the information and if I have any questions I will certainly give you a call. You seem like a very honest and generous person. Well thanks again and I will be contacting you shortly. Be safe and god bless.

Hello everyone I am glad to know that I am not the only one with alot of questions needing answered.  I am looking to haul cars more on a door to door basis and I have checked out uship and they have alot of loads in every catagory you can think of including those for big trucks.  I no longer have mine i decided to sell and go smaller so I can have more time with my family.  I have been hot shotting for about 2 years, and because i do door to door services, I dont have to get dot numbers, but i do carry extra insurance for my customers.  The only thing is I am just now having to use uship because here in MS for some reason as one of you have said, no one cares about another person.  I just thought I would share that info with you all.  If you are interested on door to door thats the place to go and bid on loads.  I dont have my company registered in there and havent done any yet but I will be starting in Nov.  Its a great way to kinda go on vacation ie: taking a load to Panoma CA when the NHRA are in town and go see that if you are into drag racing!! anyway just thought I would let anyone who wants the info to have it thanks all for taking the time to read.

The best dually out there are the Chevy and the GMC.  Checkout the video they have on the Chevy's website: (The hurt locker).
