truck has two fuel tanks, left and right. will not change tanks on the fly. i have to stop truck and flip tank switch and turn ignition switch on and off several times until i see fuel gauge flip on to other side and then and only then will truck start. i have spent $1500.00 + replacing tank pumps, fuel switchover valve, dash board switch, fuel relays, ignition switch, wiring, etc, etc. fuel pumps also seem to have trouble picking up fuel when tanks are low i.e.1/8 full.truck exhibits the same symptoms no matter what tank it is on, left or right, please help me out before i go crazy,lol813-340-4391

On my 1986 you had to hold the button for about 10 seconds If you have the engine off and push and hold the button you can hear it switch.    Mike
