Dear Trucker, You haven't been a owner operator long. You ask to expand? I need more info to explain technics. I can tell you a lot of owner operators think by more trucks they will profit more and the eact opposite happens. Be very careful doing this. The problem is not equipment but, finding ggod drivers. That is the key. A bad driver will cost you more money and everything you make plus. With that being said. I will not or do not recomend companies. That is up to the owner operator and where he wants to run, what area he wants to run, what type of freight he hauls. Thats why drivers become owner operators. There is no government funding that I know of for owner operators. Public assistance if you do not make over a certain amount. We have several broker schools in our Trucking School directory. That is another issue I want to address. Most drivers feel a broker is a cake job is easy money. I will tell you as being one at one time. My phone bill was more than my truck payment. Many try and fail at becoming a broker. It takes a customer base and now in these days a equipment base. You have to be sure you have both before you even think of becoming a broker or agent. It takes approximately 6 months to get everything established. This includes bond, training etc.. GOOD LUCK on whatever venture you decide. If you have any more questions I would be glad to answer them.
