Got a Question? Ask Jake Brake
Re: truck auctionRe: Rolloff tie downsFrom: AAA Sling & Industrial Supply CommentsAs of January 1, 2004 you are required by the U.S. D.O.T. (not state) to tie down your load on roll-off trucks. We make a strap and hook assembly with a winch that could solve your problem. We are in Michigan and all our contact info is on our website: www.aaasling.netOur phone number is: (616)530-0500 Volvo 240DL wagon problemsFrom: Bosco822@aol.com CommentsI have a 1990 240DL Volvo Wagon, appx. 110,000 miles (odometer broke at 85,000). A couple of weeks ago I started hearing what sounded like intermittent gravel hitting against the right front wheel area of car. Tonight, I was hearing a low - volume, airy "whistling" sound from the same area (my daughter said it sounded like wolves), and could smell tire rubber? around the wheel on stopping. Short on funds and considering bringing it to a local Sears Automotive (to pay w/Sears card). On the telephone, they are guessing wheel bearings or brakes. However, there is no sound or pulling when brakes are applied--they seem fine. Any thoughts on any of this? Thanks very much. MM From: Jake Brake CommentsDear Jhidoz1, Trauck auctions occur all over.
